Celebration Singers is proud to announce we have several new members this year! However, we’re greedy… we want MORE! You may have noticed that some of those new faces are very young. In fact, some of them are in high school. Celebration Singers has opened its membership to high school students. We’d love to have more “youthful” singers join us!!
Young or not-so-young, if you’ve considered joining Celebration Singers in the past, now is the perfect time to join us. We have some wonderful anthems coming up this fall. On All Saints’ Day our anthem is a beautiful song, "I Carry You in My Heart", incorporating a poem by e.e. cummings and Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Later in the service, we’ll invite the congregation to join us in a rousing rendition of “When the Saints Go Marching In.” Our Thanksgiving anthem is a medley of Charles Wesley songs. You might remember from Randy’s sermons that this is the three hundredth anniversary of Charles Wesley’s birth. Again, we’ll invite the congregation to join us on the final hymn of this collection, “O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing.”
Come one, come all, Celebration Singers will welcome you. We rehearse Wednesday evenings at 7 pm in Room L 1 (Choir Room). Child care is available every week. If you have questions, contact Deb Foley (debfoley@insightbb.com, 309- 662-7983).
