Worship Arts

Worship Arts is a vital part of the life of Calvary. They enhance our worship and glorify God in the process. Each group in our Worship Arts is open and always welcomes new members. For more information on the music program at Calvary contact Marty Abbott (martya(at)cumcnormal.org).

Children's Choirs
Children's choirs at Calvary give kids a special way to worship God through music. They also begin an understanding that this is a fun, exciting way they can serve at the church. All children's choirs rehearse on Sunday morning from 10:30–10:55 am. Each choir sings approximately once a month at varying services.

Angel Choir - Kindergarten and first grade children make up our Angel Choir. It meets in Room L 3 and is under the direction of Stacy Seibring.

Good News Singers - Children in second and third grades help spread the Good News in this choir. It meets in Room L 2 and is under the direction of Catherine Bean.

New Life Choir - Our oldest children's choir is comprised of fourth through seventh graders. It meets in Room L 3 and is under the direction of Jan Scott.

Celebration Singers
The Celebration Singers provide music and assist in leading worship at both our 8:00 and 9:30 am worship services. The Celebration Singers is open to all adults and high school students. They sing a variety of music from spirituals, to gospel, to classical, to contemporary. New members are always welcome. Higher Ground
Music at 11 am worship is lead by our worship band, Higher Ground. Guitarist, drummers, singers, and other muscians are able to serve in this group. aLive
Our senior high worship band, aLive, leads worship at a monthly Youth Worship Service on Sunday evenings, and once a month at our 11 am worship on Sunday mornings. To get involved contacted Michael Pitzer (michaelpitzer(at)yahoo.com).

Lasting Effect Dancers (LED)
This group of students enhance worship services through dance. They rehearse on various Sunday afternoons and share their gift at all three morning worship services approximately twice a quarter. For more on LED contact Gail Herring (4herringfish(at)gmail.com).

Technical/Production Ministry
The Technical/Production Ministry at Calvary covers a wide range of times and events. They are responsible for sound, video, projection, cameras, video filming and editing and much more. Basically, this is the ministry that works hard behind the scenes to allow each of us to enjoy worship, meetings and workshops with ease. Volunteers are always needed to serve.
